RHEL 5 and X-Win32 remote login appears on console??

While X-Win32 loads several error messages and warnings appear in the log but the final result is that the "remote" login pops up on the console!

This is using "ssh" and "startx -- 1:" because XDMCP is a non starter :-((

I hope there is a simple parameter or permission missing somewhere that would "forward" the X-Session to the Windows XP desktop.

I have googled for a whole week tweaking all sort of "config" files to no avail.

Any X-Windows experts?

Stab in the dark here, but

ssh -XY blah@blahblah

works for me; of course, I use linux to do so. I still log in in the console, but I can run programs graphically. I don't know if startx will work or not. But, i'm willing to work this out with you.

Of course, to do that, I guess I need some specifics: Are you ssh from linux to windows, or the other way around? I can't really tell from your description.

Or, I'll be no help at all :p
