Hi all...

My machine architecuter is as follows:

Code:
No of CPUs :2 CPUS
CPU type : Inter Quad core xenon processor E5410
In RHEl 5.4 EL it is mentioned that it can support Maximum physical CPUs/sockets is 2.

Will the above Hardware specification is fine...I am confused weather it is quad core means 4 processes in a cpu, so totally 8 processors for 2 cpus...will this specification is ok for RHEL 5.4 EL installation ?

RHEL5 Server subscription limits the number of physical CPU sockets on the Server. How many cores each CPU has does not matter to them.
