RH9 problems with newest Nvidia drivers
Hello
I installed RH9 i few days ago. The first thing i wanted to get was the newest drivers from nvidia. I dl them and after running the installer program they wanted me to alter a line in the XF86config file. From Driver "nv" to Driver "nvidia"
but when i do this and reboot X won't start and the screen becomes black.
what am i supposed to do

or try downloading NVChoser and see if you downloaded the right kernel driver there is also nv_check that checks if there are conflicts in your driver configuration

ad this line in the XF86Config file under the graphic card section.
Option "IgnoreDisplayDevices" "DFP, TV"
fixed all my problems.
