RH9.0 cannot bootup

I use RH9.0 which open service for Web and FTP.
In few weeks ago, my system (RH9.0) cannot bootup.
(The system had been runned for 1 year.)
So I format and reinstall it again.
However the system still occur this problem again serval times after I reinstall system about 1-2 weeks.

Is it hack / infected by virus or....?
What can I do?

did you delete and recreate the partitions on the hard drive?
if not try that, sounds like your hard drive may have some errors, try running fsck on it
