Exclamation RH6.1 graphics issues

Hey All,

I recently installed a new RH6.1 X64 server and since then, I'm facing some weird graphics issues while using X-Windows.
  • Screen fonts don't look sharp as it used to be in RH5
  • While dragging a window, it gets all blurred and messy. the only way to fix it is to close the window and open a new one

I tried updating all packages with the latest bug fixes through RHN. As you can assume - it didn't help much.

What could cause these problems?

well you are paying a lot for the red hat support on a server
so have you searched the RHN knowledge base ?
( you will have to login to red hat)

sounds like an xorg issue
rhel6 no longer uses one by default BUT if there is a xorg.conf it will use it

and have you gone through the install guide
" Graphical User Interface with X11 or VNC"
