I have tried gentoo, it was way to hard. I had printed the whole manuel thing, and even following it step by step for a stage 3 install, it was still way over my head and the end result was not very good.

I am liking kubuntu more and more, but I want to know, will it work with my dual core CPU? And if I get the amd64 version, will I have issues? I don't care if the actual programs will still be 32-bit, as long as everything still works as it should, that is fine. Or should I just use i386?

Slackware and Gentoo are not for a newbie

Perhaps it's now time for you to use the search, Luke! Might even find some nuggets
in the Ubuntu forum of LinuxQuestions.org. But, you'll never know until you try ...
