Restarts PC (redhat 9)Problem
Hi I'm newbie and running linux redhat 9,kernel -2.4.20-9 on my machine and after working on the machine I shut it down, but when I restarts it ,it gives me option to log in my username and password, but after logging in I dont get the taskbar for start and only the xterm window appears with the following messages:
bash ID: command not found bash ID: command not found bash ID: command not found bash[:too many arguments bash : tput :command not found bash : tput :command not found bash : wc :command not found bash : [::integer expression expected bash : dircolors:command not found bash : cut :command not found bash : cut :command not found [lebo@scope lebo]$ pls help what should I put on the command to get my desktop utilities |
This looks like a .bashrc ot bash_profile config error. Please look through these files and look for missing semi-colons, and look at the path statement, to make sure that the path there wc, cut etc live are in the path. type ]# set to see what your current environent variables are :)
