Thanks again for the help in the past I need to set up my DNS for the Internet but when I looked at my resolv.conf file it is empty 0 k in size, how do i configure it, i'v looked at my settings from windows and have got the server name etc is the resolv.conf suppose to be empty until I do something.

Can you recommend any better browsers than netscape ?

How do I get linux to recognize my scsi card for my cd-r, I have a Tekram DC 395 card, I am using redhat 7

1) Minimally you should have a line like
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx <-replace the x's with the ip of your name server.

2) I personally like Mozilla.

3) You can get the driver from http://www.tekram.com/updates.asp?Product=DC-3X5_Series.

In the future you may want to break such unrelated requests into multiple posts.
