Resising partition

Well, my slackware partition has become full, but I have plenty of unpartitioned space.

Is there some linux equivilant to partiton magic, or some other method, to make my partition bigger, without formatting it?

think ´parted´ should do...

Be VERY cautious about resizing a partition. Data loss is a definate possibility.

Resizing is a possibility using parted but do yourself a favor and make a backup of everything before doing so. May save you a lot of headaches.

yes there is qtparted which is a partition magic clone

and as masonm said make a backup first

Hi,
do u really haev to resize. i mean u could simply create a new parition, mount it and place a symbolic link to that partition. That way, u can access the new partition without havign to resize the partitions. I am currently using the same approach (after i tried to resize my partitions and every thing fell around my head). It is a much safer approch than to try partition resizing
