Resetting KDE4 kicker/panel
I did this once in the past and can't remember what I did.
Press Alt-F2 to raise the "Run Command" dialog. Type kicker and press "Run"! :)
That didn't work.
I know last time I deleted or renamed a specific directory and it was recreated when I rebooted. |
Well... maybe it is the $HOME/.kde directory, but you will lose your custom settings (if any). Another option is to run the KDE control center (Alt-F2 and kcontrol). Then go to Desktop --> Panels and enable it again.
Just had to rename /home/user/.kde/share/config/plasma-appletsrc and it gets recreated when you restart.
Good to know! So you're running KDE4. plasma substituted the kicker command.
