Unhappy Reprocess Parsed Mails Sendmail connection time timed out with

Our legal archiver went down for more than 12 hours and we have a retry only for 12 hours on sendmail. Mails exceeding 12 hours aren't retried anymore. I have all those connection timed out mails on the parsed mail folder. I would like to reprocess those mails. They are about 7000 mails. Any Help on how to do this?

On the staging environment, I have tried replicating the issue. I have a connection time out but mail is not sent to the parsed mail folder and I am trying to use sendmail -qf command to reprocess. But no luck

That's a configuration setting. I can't remember the exact mail RFC back-off settings but you could lower the initial and secondary retry values. However when sending mail times out you should first find out what the reason is.

Use verbose mode, check maillog and find out what the reason for the timeout is.
