Repeated crashes - here's my log message
 

Hello all!

Please help me out here. For the past three days, I have woken up to find my fedora box froze up. It seems to be occuring at about the same time each night...~4:00 AM. There's nothing in my crontab, so it's not a "scheduled job" causing this.

PLEASE take a moment to pour over this snippet from /var/log/messages and see if you can tell what's causing this...

what is generally running at the time of the crashes?

Good question. Let's see...

httpd is serving my webpage;
ximian mail is open;
usually have firefox open;
smbd is running;
usually have a couple terminals open, as well as a couple nautilus windows;

That's all I can think of. Obviously there are other processes running as well, just not things that are "open" on the desktop or whatnot.

Would you like me to post the output or the service command, or any other commands like top?
