repairing grub
 

am like so new to linux and suse to be specific
now i had a partion of windows and suse. there are these new window based viruses in nairobi a.k.a. prezzo or rather the raila and kibaki viruses.
they completely messed up my windows and i had 2 format.i share this PC with ma cousin and without my consent, he re-installed windows.
now grub is messed up.
i can try 2 repair this but since there's this chance to learn in advance{as in without trial and error} by posting this...pliz assist where u can..

In a typical dual-boot setup, GRUB is put in the MBR (replacing the Windows boot code). When you re-install Windows, it puts its own boot code back and you lose GRUB.

If you have a recent version of SUSE, you can boot from the CD and install GRUB from there. Otherwise, you can get any of the "Live CD" versions of Linux. Or you can simply re-install SUSE.

If you can get the computer booted from a Linux CD, open a terminal and enter "fdisk -l" (without the quotes). Post the results here.
