removing GRUB from MBR
I currently have a my computer set up to dual-boot Windows XP and Fedora Core 3. Each OS is on its own hdd(XP on the master and fedora on the slave). I am in the process of building a new computer w/ a single SATA drive. The cd that came w/ the SATA drive has a utility to copy everything from my old hdd onto the SATA drive. I would like to do this, since reinstalling everything would take some time. However I would need to use the "fixmbr" command to restore the MBR. The hard drive that contains XP has 2 partitions. My questions are:
a) would "fixmbr" mess up my partitions?
b) would I use "fixmbr" on both partitions?
c) is Fedora Core 3 compatible w/ SATA?
Hopefully somebody can answer these questions. I would appreciate any feedback, comments, or questions
