Smile removeing the files but tree structure should be same


suppose there is a tree structure in my file system . i want to maintain the tree structure but the file in the structure is be erased.
i am putting my full idea's in it . so could be it possible, maintaing the structure by removing the files only???

find / ! -type d -delete

But why one needs to remove all files from filesystem tree remaining its structure?
