i want to get rid of suse thats on my computer and replace it with redhat, however i am also runiing windows xp so i need to know to remove suse of my system without having to worry about xp, luckily i set it up so linux was on my f:\ and xp was on my c:\ but i don't know what to do now.
Just boot with redhat cd and get in the installer, when u get to the part to do the partitioning, do it manually and select your suse partition as root, and say yes to format.
thanks but will it mess up my windows, using suse boot up screen. also am thinking of putting redhat on new hard drive and reformatting the one with suse on, can you help me with that? Anyone
Install grub into MBR and you should be able to boot winxp with it.
Yea you can format the suse partition afterwards, either within winxp (diskmgmt.msc) or redhat (/sbin/mke2fs)
