Remove ATI Control Centre icon from menu
Hi,
I tried to install the ATI drivers in Fedora Core 2, but they didn't work. When I tried to install the rpm I got an error message after a bit. Even though the drivers didn't install properly there is now an "ATI Control Centre" icon in my start menu which also appears in System Settings and Preferences (I am running GNOME btw). The button doesn't do anything when I click it, and I can't uninstall the drivers because the system doesn't think they are installed. How can I get rid of these icons? Thanks Robbie |
I would say, intead of getting rid of the ati control panel, you should try to ionstall properly the ati drivers.Just try again doing the installation under the console but with the --force option included.

Right click the "start menu" button, and you should see something called "menu editor" or similar. You can add, remove, and edit anything in the menu from here.
