Remote Login Fedora 8

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for the excellent forum. I have a newbie question and would like to thank you for your help in advance.

Question: How do I go about setting up remote login as root so that I can log back into the machine after a power failure?

Details: I am using Linux Fedora release 8 (Codename: Werewolf), Kernel Linux 2.6.23.1-42.fc8, GNOME 2.20.1. I am able to log into the machine using my root password. Additionally, I am able to use VNC to manipulate the desktop after I am logged in. The problem is that when I restart the computer (i.e. power failure), I can no longer access the machine and have to physically be in front of it to log in as root. Any suggestions on how to set up linux so that I can view that log in screen remotely, enter my root username and password, and log in? Specific details will be helpful as I'm a newbie. Thanks again for the help.

try to use SSHD daemon and SSH client it's terminal only, but it will works after restart and you should do over terminal the rest of things to start vnc

Nonetheless, don't login as root remotely, there's a lot of kiddie scripts on the net that are trying to do that (see the ssh logs).
Set your ssh config to not allow root login,
Instead, login as yourself then
su -
into root from there.
