Remote Login Fedora 8
Thanks for the excellent forum. I have a newbie question and would like to thank you for your help in advance.
Question: How do I go about setting up remote login as root so that I can log back into the machine after a power failure?
Details: I am using Linux Fedora release 8 (Codename: Werewolf), Kernel Linux 126.96.36.199-42.fc8, GNOME 2.20.1. I am able to log into the machine using my root password. Additionally, I am able to use VNC to manipulate the desktop after I am logged in. The problem is that when I restart the computer (i.e. power failure), I can no longer access the machine and have to physically be in front of it to log in as root. Any suggestions on how to set up linux so that I can view that log in screen remotely, enter my root username and password, and log in? Specific details will be helpful as I'm a newbie. Thanks again for the help.
