Question remote install, isa nic

i have a p166 (no cdrom) that i would like to install redhat on.
The machine has a 3com 3c515 isa nic that i was hoping to do a remote install through say from an ftp server on my lan.
The nic driver disk that comes with redhat has my card but
throws out the error "Failed to insert 3c515 module." when i try to load it. Ive tried isapnp to configure the card before booting the linux installation but i don't know how to get isapnp to load
before the linux netboot disk.

hope this makes sense to someone
am i just confusing myself, is there a better way to remote boot that would support my nic

please help

thanx

1) what version oh RH you have?
2) How did you try to insert module?
3) If you did it with depmod, so you maybe have set IO base, like io=0x300
