remastering knoppix


Hi

I have knoppix v8.2. I want to remaster it. As i am new to knoppix i want to find the simplest and detailed instructions on how remaster a knoppix

i have tried the 'how to' but i want a more simplified detailed version of the 'hot to'. can you recomend me any

No, thats about it unless any of the other knoppix based live distros have an easier method.

The current version of Knoppix is only 5.0.1, and that was just released a week ago. If you truely have something claiming to be v8.2, you probably shouldn't use it. It most likely would be a bogus copy and could be doing no-telling-what to your system.

If you don't like the remastering of Knoppix, you can try Slax. This is a Slackware-based LiveCD. It's modular and very easiy to customize. But being Slackware vs. Debian/Knoppix based, you don't have apt-get (natively) with Slax.
