Okay, I think I've got everything up and running for SMPT AUTH. I've tested this from outside the network and it seems to authorize me and then it immediately kicks me back off again. When I checked the maillog I see this line for every time I attempted to connect:
"did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA"
There's obviously something I've missed or forgot to do. Any leads on where I should look?
I have searched around for answers, I honestly have, but the things I'm told to check, seem to be okay so there's got to be somebody out there that can help with this.
I did find this but is it a safe option?
Hi All,
Regarding "did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA, Please check on your sendmail.mc is there FEATURE(`dnsbl', `relays.ordb.org', `Rejected - see http://ordb.org/')dnl line. If it so please make it dnl for the same that means comment it. Then recompile your sendmail.mc and then restart your sendmail. You will not have this problem and also you will get all mails which was not able to receive earlier.
This is due to closed the services of (relay.ordb.org) from 31st Dec 2006 onwards.
Regards
Vijay
