Nope. For CPU, you don't need to do anything. For a graphics card, if kudzu does not automatically configure the card for you, you might have to reconfigure the card manually.
Assuming you are just using a default i386 or i586 kernel then it will run on any post pentium cpu... But are you running 64 bit in this case? Is it a 64bit distro?
