Reinstall (clean) XFCE spin from iso or stick

As a recovering XP junkie (been sober for almost a week) I am still figuring my way around Linux.

Situation:
Have 2 boxes, old wheezer that had 50gb drive with XP and newer Dell box with 10gb drive
Installed XFCE spin on Dell box and farted around with it for a few days before taking the plunge. Pulled 50gb drive out of the wheezer and installed in Dell box. Installed XFCE via live usb and tweaked new install to where I am ok with it for now.
Have 10gb drive installed in wheezer with XFCE and a bunch of bs I don't need/want. Would like to do fresh install of xfce spin as it is a little cleaner and more elegant than trying to find and delete all the installed pkgs I put in while playing around.

Problem:
Wheezer won't boot from USB stick as formated (I said it was old)
Have live stick and original spin available on exterhal hd (iso)

Options:
1. Remove all installed pkgs manually (yeah, right)
2 Move drive back to Dell machine and install from live stick (This would work ok, but getting tired of tearing down the boxes, plus its not too elegant)
3 Prefered solution reinstall xfce spin from mounted liveusb stick or from original xfce.iso downloaded from Fedora and stored on mounted external drive.

Option 2 may really be fastest and easiest, but if there is a way to use option 3, I would like to go that route.
May need to use it somewhere in the future, and never hurts to learn something new

Any input and or suggestions appreciated.
Yes I have searched for a posted solution, but hard to filter the 10000 results returned for applicable fix

TIA

You forgot about option 4: Burn the ISO to a CD and use that for installing.

Re Option 4

Good suggestion and I actually thought of it, but don't think the only burnable cd I have around is lg enough to support it (700mb spin image is 672mb raw) and it's a loooooong way to town. I will give it a shot anyway. What could it hurt.

Tks for the input

Best way: the wheezer probably has a floppy drive (remember floppies?), on which you can install the tiny little Plop. That will give you the option of booting from CD, USB, one of the partitions, you name it.

There are instructions for using Plop in the LinuxQuestions wiki:
http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Plop_Boot_Manager

The floppy way is really quick and easy!

Fresh out of floppies but love Plop
Installed
plpbt.bin in /boot
Modified /etc/grub.d/40_custom
ran grub2-makeconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
ran # chmod +x /boot/plpbt.bin just to make sure plpbt.bin was executable
Stuck the thumbdrive in the usb port
Rebooted
AND!
Bob's your Uncle
Problem solved

I can see Plop coming in handy for several things down the road

Thanks Much
