reinstall

Hi,

I've looked at some other threads. They suggest reinstalling BASH when someone gets an error like

failed dependecies

/bin/sh is needeed

I tried to reinstall Bash but it tells me that the rpm is already installed. How can I force the installation. I use rpm -U as a command line.

Thanks

That's not bash, thats the bourne shell. Like it states, your probably already using bash and its installed, you need to install the bourne shell.

I tried to install the bourne shell (http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/Applications_Shells.html) but I got the same message so I deceided to go with a more manual way and install gz.tar version of the rpm I wanted.

I little more work but I ran the ./setup.sh and the program installed itself.

/bin/sh is bash in RedHat.

He needed to do a "rpm -ivh --force bash.rpm and it should've worked...
