Question register server to red hat network

hello. i'm trying to lock down a server and i have to register to the RHN. unfortunately, i get an error like this:

There was an SSL error: [('SSL routines', 'SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE', 'certificate verify failed')]
A common cause of this error is the system time being incorrect. Verify that the time on this system is correct.

so i fixed the hwclock and date but still came up with the message above. so i looked for the erratum regarding this problem................

"The certificate used by up2date and rhn_register to communicate with the Red Hat Network reached its end of life on August 28th 2003. Users attempting to connect to Red Hat Network will see SSL connection or certificate verification failures."

"New versions of the up2date and rhn_register clients are now available which are required for continued access to Red Hat Network."

then i went to Red Hat Network and downloaded the new versions for rh9 but it can't install on the system and i got this error message during the process...

file /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/dmimodule.so from install of up2date-3.1.23.2-1 conflicts with file from package up2date-3.1.23-1

file /usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/up2dateUtils.py from install of up2date-3.1.23.2-1 conflicts with file from package up2date-3.1.23-1
