Refreshment?

hmm i have a problem, not sure how to fix it. I have samba set up as a PDC, when users log into a client system (windows 2000 pro or xp pro) they can customize thier desktop...like put a shortcut on ther for example. when you log off and log back on again the shortcut would be gone, but when you make it the second time its fine, it stays there. is there some kind of a refresh parameter that i have to set to make it store all the profile settings onto the samba PDC the first time the user logs in?
this only seems to happen for the first time the user logs in, the data is not saved to the PDC, but the second time they log in it seems to save it.

any idea? any help? need more info - just ask.

Steve

seems like i remember reading about a bug where windows clients would maintain the connection to the $HOME share in between logins so you had to use something other than $HOME for the profile PATH ??
