redialling Modem

Hi,

I'm using Fedora Core 2 and cannot get Kppp to connect my KTX 56k external modem (seems to connect but won't allow web-pages to download) , however I can connect through the Network Configuration interface using 'activate'.... however when I disconnect the modem immediately redials, and only physically switching it off disconnects it.

I've checked through all the config options and cannot see a dialogue box that would disable this, and run F-Prot and BitDefender antivirus tools.

Any assistance gratefully received!

Tom

I'm having the same problem with an internal linmodem on Fedora Core 2. Have you found the problem or a solution for this.

Thanks,
Daniel
