Redhat Thinks it's wireless!?!?!?! LOL!
Quick question. I have two network cards in my machine running red hat 8. I have yet to get either of them working under RH8. I figured it was because I was behind a firewall, so I attached the cable to a laptop directly, also running rh8.
I tried to activate one of the cards and was told it didn't exist, upen restarting the network I discovered that the system seems to think it is a wireless card. Where is the setting so I can straighten this little problem out and hopefully be on the road to getting both ethernet cards up and fully running?
thanks

Just tried to activate eth0 and was told that "Eth0 has an alais to module SIS900 in module.conf , instead of currently loaded module tulip"
Now, one of my cards is a sis900, and the other is soemthing else (dec 21*40 and clones, which I beleive is the tulip module).
If anyone has any idea's how to solve this I would be very happy. I would love to have both network cards up, so that one can access the net through the linksys and the other one can be connected to the laptop.
Thanks in advance to any help offered.
KP
