Redhat Linux doesnot start in Graphic mode after booting
This is for the first time that I have been installing RedHat Linux 9. During the installation i was asked to configure the Xserver by choosing the Video Card from the available list. As i could not find SiS 6215C in the list, I skipped the step. After completing the installation, i tried to configure the xserver using redhat-config-xfree86 command and selecting a generic video card. After completing this configuration, my pc still continues to boot in text mode. I am able to then start xserver using startx command from the prompt and everything works fine then on. Can you suggest a method of making xserver as a default graphic terminal after booting.
Thanks for reading my query... Regards, Montu. |
