Question Redhat/Fedora 6 headless install

I have attempted to install Redhat and Fedora on a SBC w/o video. The only access to the SBC is through the serial port. I have install both distros using "linux text console=ttyS0,115200n8" but when the system is rebooted, I only get the text GRUB on the screen. It doesn't display a login prompt through the serail port console. Any suggestions?

You will more than likely need to use lilo boot manager instead.

Redhat/Fedora are usually a little bloated for this type of thing (I do a lot of development for Wrap/Soekris boards), but you'll also need to add this to your inittab somewhere to get the TTY term to spawn on your serial port (these are for a Debian system, with different serial settings that you're using, but it's what I use and have on hand):

# Example how to put a getty on a serial line (for a terminal)
#
T0:23:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS0 9600 vt100
#T1:23:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS1 9600 vt100
