Redhat and windows

I have two seperate partiton in my system one for windows xp and one for linux.. In most of the cases what happened when my windows got corrupted and I reinstalled it then i cannot able to boot my redhat enterprise linux. I tried to reinstall grub , but the problem is still the same. Windows will boot fine but redhat linux not.. In such case I have to reinstall the whole linux yum and softwares again. Please suggest how can i get rid of this problem in the future.

Thanks

I think you've tried to rescue redhat with redhat disk

When you do that, remember to write bootloader to MBR not to partition

Exactly how did you reinstall grub?
