RedHat 9 is slow OS


My system.
P4 2GHz 512 RIMM, 533-FSB
And all ablications is running slow
Pls Help me.

Try disabling some daemons like sendmail and ssd (both active by default).

just disable those many services that u dont need ....

hi

also remove fonts that you dont use. they slow down the graphical interface quite a lot. remove services and packages you dont use.
