Question Redhat 9.0 modem problem


i cannot install my modem in redhat 9.0 i tried to do it from network but an error happend in activate dial up connection from ttys1 after all it wrote activated but i dont know what to do now

did you check a site for your modem appearing as compatible?

and as rahulsundaram asks, did you ever have it working before?

most modems won't work with linux by nature (microsoft nature), but SOME do.

i have it working with windows not linux and i dont know it is winmodem or linmodem it is conexant softK56 Data,Fax PCI modem

yes. thats a winmodem. look up drivers at linmodems.org
