RedHat 8.0 ---> W2k - Page Fault

Alright, ive been reading forums and help pages and numorous amounts of internet sites trying to figure out one thing...

Why can i not install any M$ O/S on my Compaq anymore...

WinXP corp= General Protection Fault (Before Install Loads)
Win2k prof= Page Fault (3/4 through format)
WinME = Hangs before cd loads

im doing fine with Running linux right now, ive hit a few bumps and overcame most of em, lastest hasta do with the Hp Photoshop 735 Digital Camera, and RPM issues, but

i want...

windoze right now...

Tell me what information you need, and how to get it, and ill hook you up, but im losin my mind :P... ive got 3 hard drives here, and all have had working linux and windoze on em, and now i cant get any of em to run anything other then linux..

Well, that might be divine intervention.
Explaination: You were choosen to only run Linux, that is why windows fails so badly.
You are probably destined to promote and further linux like not other...

Okey, cut the bullshit, okey, I do ;-))))

Just a simple explaination for it. I forgot you WANT to run Windows..

Some questions to help you run it:
When did this problem surface? Did windows work BEFORE?
EVER?
What kind of machine is this?
Did you try windows 98se? WinXP in Rescue Mode?

Can it be that this machine has a hardware defect? Do you see anything in Linux? Any way to put some load and stress on the machine, possibly on many components?

Compaq are usualy kind of tricky, I know that they sometimes (always?) use customized hardware that is special Compaq, so you need special drivers form them. Do you have a recovery partition? (which came in form of a disc or is stored on the HD?)
