Redhat 8.0 box and Wingate on Win2000 server
Hi there,
I have setup a Linux Redhat 8.0 box behind a Wingate proxy server on a win2000 box. The linux box must be a webserver in the near future running a site on Apache with PHP. On this website i will be running a forum (like this one), the users of that forum must be able to recieve emails trough PHP and Sendmail. All components are up and running Apache, PHP and sendmail. I have configured sendmail with the SMARTHOST option pointing to the win2000 box Users from the internet can reach the apache webserver trough the proxy using a TCP mapping on port 80. Now here is my problem: Everytime an email is sent from a PHP script using Sendmail there are several DNS lookups to resolve the hostname in the email adress with no success. Is there a way to turn off these DNS lookups and let sendmail just send the mail to the smarthost. Bert. |
