Redhat 7.3 via crossover to WinXP

I am trying to connect Redhat 7.3 via a crossover cable to WinXP. WinXP is configured to run internet sharing.

I have run ifconfig to set eth0 to 192.168.0.2 with a mask of 255.255.255.128 (the mask used by WinXP).

I can ping 192.168.0.2, but not the IP of my WinXP machine or anything beyond that. Any suggestions?
