RedHat 7.2 no shutdown,no sound !!!!help please..
It's only been a few days that I have installed RedHat 7.2 on my machine which runs on Intel 810B chipset based motherboard....
and already I'm facing quite a lot of problems...first and foremost
of it is that linux does not shutdown properly ...although system halted message is displayed , But complete shutdown never occurs...I had Windows installed on my machine which did'nt pose any problem with shutdown and machine used to shutdown automatically(autoshutdown) ,but not the same with linux
where it all stands still .
Also I don't get any sound at all. sndconfig detects the soundcard (which is in fact built in my motherboard) but displays an error message at the time of playing the sample music!!
As I'm absolutely stranger to linux ,any help in these matter will prove to be extremly helpful to me...Thank you!!!
