Redhat 7.2 installation problems

hi there i am trying to put redhat 7.2 onto a prolaint 2500 i have managed to get passed the memory problems that most people face but i am having difficulty in formatting partitions on two hard drives

i know these drives are working as i have just removed windows 2000 adv. server off them

it keeps comming up with the error message

" an error has occoured trying to format ***** this error is serious ..."

setup then terminates and reboots the machine

i have tried installing to just one hard drive at a time and all at one but this still comes up with the error

i have also had this problem with another server (a custom built one) again the HDD was fine but it wouldnt format

i have tried new cd's and this hasnt worked anyone have any ideas??
