red hat installation


hda1 15000
hda6 15000
hda7 15000
hda8 6110
hda9 6110

hda1 win98
hda6 win2000

want RED HAT 7.0 in hda9

created the native linux drive and swap drive

and changed home directories names :

hda1 to /dosc
hda6 to /dosd
hda7 to /dose
hda8 to /dosf

and when I press the next button to continue installation the system restarts and lines of terminating sessions or other things appear

ehmm, well you can't label the partitions of linux how you wanna label them... the linux partition should be called Linux, and the swap should be called Swap. I'm assuming those numbers are the size of the parition is megabytes???
So hda8 name it Swap, and hda9 name it Linux. Don't forget to specify that the swap partition is a swap partition and that the Linux partition should be a Native Linux partition so that they are properly formatted. In the Linux partition specify the folder where everything will be installed, i.e. /
that's enough.
and also where you want Lilo or grub installed, I suggest the MBR. After that is just follow and click procedure, good luck.
