Red Hat Enterprise showing as CENTOS

We bought dedicated server from fasthosts, and opted for redhat enterprise at an extra cost of £277.

However, there seems to be no difference whatsoever, and also the apache test page shows up as "powered by centos"!!!

Any ideas? Should i ask for a refund and just go with centos? As the redhat is so out of date too, everything needed updating and at least when you purchase redhat from themselves you get regular updates and support, fasthosts offer no support for dedicated servers.

If you paid for true RedHat, it should definitely say so, and it would mean you have some sort of support (from RH) as well as updates avail.
If they've only given you Centos, you won't get the (paid) support from RH. OTOH, Centos keep themselves synced to RH's updates, so you will get those.
Maybe you only specified RH compatible? Or it could just be a mistake on their part. Just phone them and describe the situation.

And if they are advertising RHEL and charging for it but giving you CentOS, contact a RedHat representative to notify them of the situation.

Umm, I did a quick google on FastHosts, doesn't seem they have a very good reputation behind them.

And looking at these reviews, all across the board with horrible ratings: http://www.webhostingjury.com/reviews/Fasthosts

You might just want to get a refund and find a new host provider.
