Red Hat 9 (not enough RAM)
I am trying to install Red Hat 9 on a Compaq Proliant 5000 server with 256MB of RAM, but it keeps telling me that I dont have enough RAM. I used the mem=256M noprobe command, but then it haults and gives me this message "Kernel Panic : VFS Unable to mount root fs on 09:02". Then the caps lock and num lock on the KB keep flashing and it sits there. Any suggestions? Any commands I can use so that it will see the hard drive on the SCSI controller. Its a Compaq Smart 2D-H Array.
Thanks, Kelso |
