Red Hat 9 media player
Hi, I have installed Red Hat 9, and i tried using GRIP to copy one of my music cd's, well it copied and encoded OK to .ogg format, but when i click on them when they are copied and encoded to the harddrive it plays the first 2 seconds then freezes up. Please help me as i like to copy my music over to my harddrive to listen to. What can i do or can i download another media player? Please help. Thank you.

You could try another player but it sounds like you are having a codec problem, make sure you have ogg filters installed.
Failing that try XMMS, mplayer etc. |
Hi, thanks for the advice could you please tell me where i could find XMMS and how do i install it. Thanks mate...

well your distro comes with a copy but IIRC mp3 is disabled cause of licensing issues or somthing, so just build it from source.
