red hat 9, http server
 
I have just installed red hat 9 shrike and i have noticed it has a http server. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some advice on how to set it up.

If you're going to use it on the internet, I suggest to get an more uptodate distro. RedHat has stopped support for RH9, so no new security updates etc.

Any distro is suitable for running a web server.

Are you planning on using the machine for anything else, or just a web server. My personal choice would be Debian 3.1, which is the current stable Debian release. I suggest that you use Apache2 rather than Apache 1.3, since it is newer.
