Why don't you just boot off of the CD? The first CD is bootable
cant
Are you sure the CD is burned properly?
yes but what should the files look like though but i did burn it right i used the image burner in nero and in disk juggler i have used the same method many times and burned successful .iso files.
i think i might have just found my problem. i just saw some where on the web that if u use internet explorer to download the files that they dont work is this true
I don't know about that, but I do know that the CD didn't burn correctly. The first Redhat CD is always bootable. If you burn it, and it doesn't boot, then you didn't burn it properly.
You may want to go into BIOS to make sure it is set to boot from the CDROM. Your best bet to make sure you download files correctly is to use FTP, and make sure you type binary before downloading the files. |
burn as iso image
On Roxio CD-burners, you need to specify that you are burning the iso via "create CD from image" or something like that, and then specify iso format. I didn't do this once, and the CD was not bootable, just a set of regular data files.
