Red Hat 9.0 Booting to specific kernel

I installed an updated kernel on my Red Hat 9 computer. When I boot up, the console shows me the teo kernels, but defaults to the old one. What can I do to default/boot to the new kernel?
Thanks.

what bootloader do you use? lilo? grub? it depends on that...you'll just have to edit the config of the bootloader.

edit /boot/grub/grub.conf where it says default=0 (or 1 or whatever) change it to the option you want. Bear in mind that options start with 0,1,2,...) Save, Reboot it works

Yes, that's exactly what I wanted. Thank you.
