red hat 8 up2date problem


i try to run up2date. doesnt work.. so i run it from the command line and i get this error

I/O error: unsupported XML-RPC protocol

Ok i know its an input output error obviously, i tried google. tried redhat.. need help , how do i replace the unsupported xml rpc protocol to one that will work with up2date if thats even the problem. ive tried reinstalled many packages up2date, xml, rpc and more.. any help appreciated.

I haven't seen that particular error, but I know their servers are terribly busy.

Have you tried apt4rpm or Redcarpet for updating?
