Red Hat 7 automatic partion doesn't work
 

I am installing Red Hat 7 from Linux for Dummies. I have a 1.5 gig hard drive on a Pentium 133 machine. First I used fips to partion my hard drive (yes I Scandisked and defragged). When I loaded Red Hat it said I didn't have enough room for automatic partioning, so I did an MSdos format c:. I then realized I still had a C: and a D: drive so I attempted to undo the fips repartion. It didn't work. I then attempted an MS fdisk and it didn't recognize a logical drive. When I do an MS dos format it sees 1.5 gig of disk space.
When attempting to reload Red Hat it still won't Automatically repartion the drive and gives me the option of Fdisk or Disk Druid. Using Disk Druid it sees 1.5 Gig but says 99% is used and only 2 MB are free.
I can't find anything on Red Hat's web site that addresses this problem. Any help is appreciated.

That's quite easily fixed... Linux (as a rule of
thumb) won't install on DOS file systems, and
Linux partitions have a different signature, too.

Linux will install on Type 83 and use Type 82
for swapping. As opposed to 6 or B that your
partitions currently most likely are.

To get around that problem, just delete the
DOS partitions from within the RedHat installer.

I just rebooted and deleted the drive info on the top of Disk Druid's screen( in graphical mode) . After that the Used (M) changed from 99% to blank. However my only option was the go Back after that everything repeated and I couldn't get out of this loop.
