Cool Red Hat 7.1 100mb Zip and uninstalling aps

Im sorta new to Linux and I've had a look at both Mandrake and Red Hat.
I'm currently running Red Hat and have a few questions...
How do I mount a parallel ZIP? With Mandrake it auto detected so I didn't have to worry about it.

And also how do I unstall programs if they weren't RPMs or TARS but bins?

Thanks

(1) Red Hat auto detected my parallel zip.

Code:
mount /mnt/zip.100
(or some such).

(2) Uninstalling bins is tricky, hopefully the program will have provided its own uninstaller. Otherwise you have to track down and manually delete each file it created.
