Red Hat 6.2 Openldap client configuration for AD authentication

Cookbook on configuring Red Hat 6.2 openldap client. Red Hat Documentation vague on something that should be straightforward.
a. What the the required Openldap client packages
b. What utilities are required to configure openldap client
c. Any key openldap files to modify
d. what is the sequence for the above items.

You could see my posts in Server Forum, but in short, here's a good set of HOWTOs http://www.server-world.info/en/note?os=CentOS_6&p=ldap.
See Right Hand menu, and my notes in my posts as mentioned.

Note that according to my researches, there's a high turnover in SW versions & cfg file contents etc, so the above works for 6.4; you might(?) need to tweak for 6.2.

Thanks for the information. However, am still struggling with RH 6.2 login authentication to our AD server. Performed tcpdumps to trace replies from AD. It has something to do with passing the correct bind dn and password to AD. I've tweaked every conceivable ldap-related file on our RH server - no success. Will call RH Support (again) for further analysis. Your site provided good insight into Openldap.
I can successfully perform an ldapsearch query using the bind dn/password for our AD server; so I know I'm close to resolving. It's disappointing that RH doesn't provide a clear cookbook for AD login authentication.

Thanks again!
