Recycle Bin


Can't we set a Recycle Bin in Linux ?

Which desktop environment are you using?
Is it Gnome or KDE?
If it is Gnome, the trash is most probably located at the bottom right corner of the screen.

oh I see.

mkdir ~/.trash
echo "mv \$1 \~/.trash" > move_to_trash
chmod +x move_to_trash
alias rm=move_to_trash

Or use libtrash:
http://pages.stern.nyu.edu/~marriaga/software/libtrash/

This will catch every system call (not only rm but every erase even done by other programs,..)

You should have a package for every distribution
